The Business of Fashion is excited to introduce “The BoF Show with Imran Amed”, an immersive streaming video series created in partnership with Bloomberg Quicktake.
Launching on Thursday 30th September, the show captures an extraordinary time for fashion as this $2.5 trillion dollar industry reawakens after global lockdowns. The first block of six episodes explores a central question on the minds of business and creative leaders; how to balance profit with purpose?
Imran Amed founded The Business of Fashion 15 years ago as the industry was being transformed by technology and shifting customer values. Now, he meets the people forging fashion’s future. They include Demna Gvasalia, creative director of Balenciaga; the business leaders Bruno Pavlovsky, president of fashion at Chanel, François-Henri Pinault, chairman and chief executive officer at Kering and Angelica Cheung, venture partner at Sequoia Capital, China as well as multi-hyphenate innovators Kai-Isaiah Jamal and Sinéad Burke, designer-radical Marine Serre and the entrepreneurs building Vestiaire Collective, Depop, RTFKT and The Dematerialised.
At a time where real-life travel is curtailed, the show transports viewers from the Paris Haute Couture fashion shows to the Metaverse, exploring the fusion of physical and digital realities while illuminating global issues including inclusion and responsibility for the planet we all share.
The series will be available to stream on The Business of Fashion and Bloomberg Quicktake, with new episodes released every two weeks beginning this Thursday at 9pm New York time.
Short segments will also be available to view on BoF’s social media channels. A selection of in depth interviews with key protagonists from the show will also be featured on The BoF Podcast.
