Florals in Summer 2025 are more expressive, inclusive, and forward-thinking than ever before. Whether it’s through bold silhouettes, darkly romantic colorways, or eco-conscious craftsmanship, flowers continue to root themselves firmly in the fashion zeitgeist. One thing is clear: in 2025, florals are not just a pattern—they’re a lifestyle.

Take Burberry’s latest collaboration with King Charles’ estate Highgrove for instance. Actors Elizabeth McGovern, Laura Carmichael and Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù star in the campaign that paints a picture-perfect narrative of an English countryside existence, while the Kitchen Gardens of the Gloucestershire home find themselves worked across knits, silk scarves, inside trenches and over shower-ready bucket hats.
What makes this collaboration sing a little sweeter, however, is the introduction of artist Helen Bullock and her bright interpretation of the florals to the partnership between the fashion behemoth and the private estate. Here, set against an optimistic yellow background are hand drawn poppies, cosmos and sweet peas interpreted with Bullock’s signature vibrant hand.
The Burberry and Highgrove collection follows a blossoming trend that we’re seeing this spring from a plethora of designers and labels when it comes to how to wear the ubiquitous florals this spring. Where once literal photographs of wildflower meadows (see Christopher Kane SS20) was in vogue or the richness of Baroque jacquards (a favourite of Miuccia Prada) were the decree, this season it’s about watercolour-like prints that hint at a passion for both all-things floral, and a knowing appreciation of the Old Masters. MSGM, Erdem, and Loewe are all on board.
So, how to wear this floral trend without looking like you’ve shopped exclusively at The Royal Academy gift ship? Contrast. Consider wearing Burberry’s short-sleeved sweater with Adidas trousers and silver ballet pumps. Or, think about bringing colour to a sweet cotton white dress with a headscarf in a painterly print. Those who understand the art of florals should make like Petra Collins (in Marni) and go all-out in top-to-toe florals. Blooming lovely.
