The ‘Jo Malone London Gent’ joins Poppy Delevingne and Karen Elson as part of the family
John Boyega has become the first male ambassador for the luxury fragrance brand, Jo Malone London.
The London-born actor is best known for his starring turn as Finn in the seventh and eighth films in the Star Wars series, as well as independent breakthrough films like Detrioit and Attack the Block.
“I love the creativity and storytelling element of Jo Malone London. It’s something I resonate with; it’s how I work best. With discussion, collaboration and down to earth honesty,” Boteya says.

The decision to appoint a male ambassador makes sense because, while you may be most familiar with the success of Jo Malone London’s more feminine offerings, such as Red Roses or the Pomegrante Noir candle, all of the brand’s colognes are designed to be unisex.
“Bronze Wood & Leather Cologne is a solid favourite of mine”, Boyega explains. “I like that I can change up my scent to suit my style … If my life was a bottle of cologne it would be called: Conflicts and Success. A new Boteya line.”
Working with a true Londoner was also at the heart of choosing Boyega to be the first ‘Jo Malone London Gent’, according to the company’s global president, Jean-Guillaume Trottier:
“A born and bred Londoner, John is intelligent, inclusive and witty. He shares our core values of generosity and creativity and is unafraid to speak his mind. His vivacity and whole-heartedness make him a wonderful fit with Jo Malone London and I am delighted to welcome him to the family.”
The actor joins the already established line-up of ‘Jo Malone London Girls’, Poppy Delevingne and Karen Elson, who have starred in an array of colourful campaigns for the brand.
Expect the force to be with Jo Malone London from now on…
