AS we all recover from the Lanvin for H&M fever that has gripped us for the past few weeks (see the mayhem of the launch here), the news comes that Karl Lagerfeld is creating a collection for Macy’s. The designer, who has previously designed a range for H&M, will unveil his line in 250 Macy’s stores – as well as online – in September. His collection will part of a designer series for the department store which begins with Kinder Aggugini.
“Karl Lagerfeld holds a unique place in the world of fashion, an icon who is the ultimate modernist,” Terry J. Lundgren, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Macy’s Inc told WWD. “Through the decades, his style and vision have marked the history of design. It is a tremendous honour to bring his inimitable perspective to our fashion customer.”
Like Lanvin for H&M, the collection will feature menswear as well as womenswear.
