Official Images of the Air Jordan 2 Low “Python”
Ostensibly an homage to the 1987 Nike Air Python.
Update: After appearing back in October of last year, the Air Jordan 2 Low “Python” has now been officially revealed by Nike. New detailing such as the reflective pattern at the upper has been highlighted alongside the complete visual breakdown of the pair. Its release remains anticipated for February 7 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $150 USD. For more details, review our initial coverage below.
Original Story: Jordan Brand, while a subsidiary of Nike, has a rich history thanks to its decades of sought-after sneaker releases. One of its first sneakers, the Air Jordan 2, combined with Nike’s Air Force 2 to create the Air Python. While the sneaker made a return in 2013, it looks to be receiving an homage next year on the Air Jordan 2 Low with its “Python” colorway.
The upcoming look kicks things off with a standard leather base in white that is accompanied by light gray detailing located at the tongue’s Wings logo and the lining. For this release, its signature detail comes courtesy of the quarter panel, which hosts a light brown and gray snakeskin pattern visible at each side of the shoe. Rounding things out, a “Sail” midsole rests atop a light gray rubber outsole to complete the look.
At the time of writing, Jordan Brand has not officially declared any release details surrounding this “Python” colorway of the Air Jordan 2 Low. However, early reports are indicating that it is currently scheduled to touch down on shelves on February 7 of next year via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $150 USD.
