This is not a drill.

Taco Bell may be famous for its Mexican-style fast food, but the brand is also known for its incredible innovation. Beyond the standard fare of tacos and burritos, the chain never ceases to impress foodies and fans alike with new releases on a monthly (if not weekly) basis, from nostalgic menus to unique collaborations, and even twists on beloved menu staples. And while the recent Cantina Fajitas menu is impressive in its own right, Taco Bell’s latest release has been a long time coming—and it may be the chain’s most unhinged menu item yet.
After announcing its creation at Live Más Live in 2024 and teasing it on social media, Taco Bell is officially debuting one of its most viral menu items yet. And no, it isn’t a taco, Crunchwrap, burrito, or even new nuggets—it’s dessert.
Taco Bell Releases New Mountain Dew Baja Blast Pie

Following months of hype, speculation, and comments asking when it’s finally coming to stores, Taco Bell is dropping the long-awaited Mountain Dew Baja Blast Pie this week. Like most Taco Bell innovations, the new pie is completely unexpected (yet totally on-brand), featuring the iconic and beloved tropical flavors of Baja Blast reimagined in a way that’s reminiscent of a classic Key lime pie.
After months of obsession, some Taco Bell devotees are eager to try the brightly-colored teal pie, which features a graham crumb crust with a creamy Baja Blast filling, topped with whipped cream.
“Hurry up and release the pie!” wrote one fan on Taco Bell’s post teasing the new treat, adding that they have “been waiting too long.”
Others are a little more skeptical, suggesting that the new pie “looks like it’s infused with radium.”
The news comes just in time for many holiday gatherings, such as Friendsgiving, so rather than a classic turkey dinner with pumpkin pie, you and your crew can indulge in Discovery Luxe Boxes or party packs before rounding out the night with the new Mountain Dew Baja Blast Pie. The limited-edition dessert is only available in-store, and retails for $19.99. And, unfortunately for those who are just looking for a taste, the Baja Blast Pie is not sold by the spice. You have to buy a whole pie, making it the perfect potluck dessert.
Taco Bell Debuts Exclusive Baja Blast Pie Chiller

If you’re lucky enough to live near one of Taco Bell’s Live Más Café locations, the chain’s beverage concept is also introducing its own unique twist on the new dessert: the Baja Blast Pie Chiller. It’s a frozen spin on the pie, as it literally contains one pie slice blended with a creamy base of vanilla ice cream.
But, wait. There’s more. The frozen beverage is finished with whipped cream, and topped with a churro crunch. The new Chiller—which sounds like the perfect combo of Dirty Baja Blast and a milkshake—is available in both small (which costs $4.19) and medium ($4.59) sizes.
The Mountain Dew Baja Blast Pie hits Taco Bell locations nationwide in the U.S. on Nov. 6 alongside the release of Baja Blast Pie Chillers at select Live Más Cafés in Southern California and Texas, but each is only available for a limited time. And, due to its limited quantity, the pie is one of the brand’s most exclusive releases yet.
If you want to take part in the iconic release, you should head to your local Taco Bell sooner rather than later. And while no one will judge you for just grabbing a pie, I’ll be rounding out my order with the Flamin’ Hot Grilled Cheese Burrito—and a regular Mountain Dew Baja Blast to wash it all down.
