8 Spring Colors Stylists Say Everyone Will Be Wearing This Season

So many pretty pastels here.

Spring color trends often mirror the hues we see in nature—think soft pastels, vivid brights, and muted earthy tones that pay homage to flowers, trees, birds, and beyond. You can expect much of that in 2025, but there are some unexpected twists and color combos that personal stylists say are sprouting this season. Whether you’re shopping your own closet or hunting for fresh finds, embrace these top spring colors dominating the fashion zeitgeist.

Bright Orange

This juicy hue dominated runways from New York to Milan for spring 2025, and plays into the overarching trend we’re seeing of stepping away from “quiet” fashion choices. “It’s a mood-boosting color that instantly elevates any outfit,” says Nguyen Tran, stylist and founder of Le Reussi, who refers to the color as “solar flare orange.” Wear it from head to toe, or pair it with neutrals like beige, white, or brown.

Electric Blue

Vivid and daring shades of blue are popping up on red carpets and in designer collections, driving home the point that we’re entering a season of bolder, energetic colors. “Electric blue is powerful and playful. It is the vivid contrast that dares to stand out when all spring colors are appearing weakly,” says Amy Ekren, stylist and owner of Inherit Clothing. “The color is all trust and guarantees attention-whether it be on a full suit, statement dress, or bold accessories.”

Mocha Mousse

Mocha Mousse is Pantone’s color of the year for 2025. Though a somewhat controversial pick, it’s definitely a trending spring color showing up in basically every corner where creativity flexes. “I think people are realizing that brown fabrics complement literally every skin tone and provide a massive gradient of pairing options,” says Anthony Bolognese, fashion expert and owner of Capitol Hill Clothiers. “My clients have shown a pretty significant shift in open-mindedness to a lot of brown hues when seeing how easily they pair with existing items in their wardrobes.”

Pale Pink

Pale pastel pink is a rite of passage come springtime, and 2025 is no exception. “I have seen this on numerous runways and the Spring collections in stores are bursting with pale pink,” says Jennifer Johnson, personal stylist and founder at True Fashionistas. “This is a very pale pink that can be considered a neutral and paired with everything from black to gray to brown and denim. It is very versatile.”

Butter Yellow

Spring has always been the time for pastels and soft, bright colors. “With a particularly strong winter across the U.S. this year, a lot of people want to hit spring colors on the nose,” Bolognese says. “The super desaturated ‘buttery’ yellow is gaining steam just as cream and other earthy, neutral shades have in the past—it’s Easter without the bunny. It adds a splash of personality when paired with neutrals and helps to tone down otherwise very bold springtime patterns like florals and dots.”

Cherry Red

While muted, earthy tones and pastels are taking center stage this spring, vibrant cherry red is one that’s serving up some nice contrast. We saw it at New York Fashion Week, where Khaite utilized cherry red as an accent on leather pants and structured outerwear, and at Eckhaus Latta the hue made an appearance in fluid, draped silhouettes. In Milan, Ferragamo embraced cherry red (true to form) in statement accessories and sheer, flowing dresses adorned with poppy-inspired embellishments.

Lavendar Fog

Another pastel we’re seeing more of is lavender, but with a muted, foggy twist that makes it more of a chic neutral than a kitschy spring color. “This soft, dreamy purple has been spotted in street style and high-fashion editorials, offering a modern twist on pastels,” Tran says. “It’s a favorite for its versatility and ability to transition seamlessly from day to night. Plus, its ideal for layering or as a standalone statement piece.”

Mossy Green

Similar to browns, green tones have held the spotlight in suiting for a few years now and mossy green is an edgy twist that contrasts with all the pastels. “Green is one of those colors that makes people say ‘Oh, I wish I could pull that off,’ then I put the swatch over their wrist or they take the leap of faith and realize that they can pull it off,”  says Bolognese. Consider this your sign to give it a go.
