Spring Fashion 2019: Retro Colors, Tiny Bell Bottoms, and Kids on Skates
We turned back time on spring fashion, going full roller retro with kids decked out in acid wash and rainbow prints.

Locally designed threads aren’t just for adults. Small-batch boutique North of West creates modern, custom prints for a line that spans onesies to adults, while Tati & Me ’s cheery, pattern-mixing dresses—no two are alike—are party perfect.

Professional handstander on closed course! Do not try this at home. Instead, defy gravity on the rides at century-plus-old Oaks Amusement Park, open weekends in April and open daily starting June 18. Bonus: the roller rink is open Tues–Sat all year long.

Our locally owned kids’ boutiques offer everything from wallet savers to major splurges. For seven years Beanstalk (source of these old-standby shorts) has been a secondhand haven for the budget-minded, while Yo! Portland stocks a trove of whimsical prints from Swedish line Mini Rodini—which notably pays factory workers a living wage for the teeny organic cotton looks (including this monkey hoodie).
