Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always loved the holiday season.
Between all the holiday decorations, the incredible foods, and time to be with family, nothing could be better! But among all the traditions I have with my loved ones, I try to do something that’s just for me. And in my world, that comes in the form of watching as many Christmas movies as I possibly can.
Well, this year is no different, and the 2025 best new Christmas movies are giving some of my all-time favorites a run for their money. Whether it’s films about holiday heists or family vacations gone wrong, there’s always something I find endearing about these specials. And given how holiday rom-coms are a genre all on their own, I always make sure to add one or two (or in this case, three) to my watchlist! If you’re a fan of Ransom Canyon or Virgin River, you must tune in to see Minka Kelly and Alexandra Breckenridge find love by way of Netflix, too!

Joy to the World
Premiered: November 1 on Hulu
Starring Chad Michael Murray, Emmanuelle Chriqui, and Ayesha Curry, this movie follows a lifestyle guru who tries to convince everyone she has the perfect life. But when a live holiday broadcast threatens to expose what her world truly looks like, she recruits her best friend to help her portray a picture-perfect couple.
Tyler Perry’s Finding Joy
Premiered: November 5 on Prime Video
When a New York fashion designer finds trouble in her love life, she decides to trek to Colorado. But when she gets stranded in a snowstorm, she meets a mysterious man who teaches her a new perspective on life and finding happiness.
Christmas Above the Clouds
Premiered: November 8 on Hallmark
When Calls the Heart star Erin Krakow appears in this Hallmark 2025 “Countdown to Christmas” film, that is a modernized take on A Christmas Carol. Portraying a workaholic CEO trying to avoid the holidays, Erin’s character discovers the true meaning of love and Christmas with the help of some helpful folks on a flight—and her ex-boyfriend.
A Very Jonas Christmas Movie
Premiered: November 14 on Disney+
Joe, Kevin, and Nick Jonas are celebrating the holiday season early, thanks to their new movie, A Very Jonas Christmas Movie! Centering on the three brothers, the flick follows them as they race against the clock to make it home for Christmas. But it doesn’t come without its share of trials and tribulations!
A Merry Little Ex-Mas

Kate and Everett may be newly divorced, but they want to celebrate the holidays together for their kids. Things don’t go as planned when Everett introduces the family to his new girlfriend. And to make things even more complicated, Kate is also finding love—but with a younger man no one expected.

The Family Plan 2

In Hallmark star Lacey Chabert’s latest holiday movie, she portrays a woman whose company inspects Santa’s Naughty or Nice list. When she encounters a young boy who’s a little mischievous, she decides to check out what’s going on. While falling for both the child and his widowed dad, she now must choose between love and the rigid rules she’s set up her entire life.
