The Kansas City Chiefs did more than take down the Chicago Bears during the Sept. 24 game. Sunday night’s telecast of Fox’s “America’s Game of the Week” got the Taylor’s Version treatment and delivered a total audience of 24.32 million viewers and scoring the highest among female demographics across the ages of 12-17, 18-49 this week.

Aside from Patrick Mahomes’ successful performance, the game featured a notable cameo from Taylor Swift, who watched the game from a suite alongside Chiefs player Travis Kelce’s mother, Donna, as the Chiefs completely wiped out the competition, ending the game with a score of 41-10. The appearance likely boosted the game’s ratings as fans of the “Afterglow” singer reacted to circulating rumors of a budding romance with Kelce.

In relation to last year’s figures, the showdown just barely missed the mark by 8%. Last year’s Game of the Week performance recorded a total of 26.4 million viewers. Likewise, ratings were down in comparison to the previous year’s figures in the key adults 18-49, 25-54 demographics, and fell 5% in the 18-34 demographic. Still, the Sunday night telecast marked the most-watched telecast of the week on any network.

That high transitioned into the night as Dan Harmon’s “Krapopolis” premiered following the game, opening to 3.6 million total viewers and scoring a 1.2 rating among adults aged 18-49. However, the series dropped in viewership with the premiere of the second episode in Fox’s double header. Titled, “The Stuperbowl,” the episode recorded 1.8 million viewers on average, and a 0.5 among adults 18-49.

“Krapopolis” will make its regular timeslot premiere on Sunday, Oct. 1 at 8:30 pm ET/PT as part of the network’s “Animation Domination” block.
